Transportation Needs for Our Unsheltered Community:
For participating homeless services organizations with vans and other vehicles, we are asking for your assistance in transporting your clients and other people with lived experience of homelessness to the job fair. We currently have a limited number of free bus passes and a bus route reserved (Santa Rosa CityBus Route 18) which will provide transportation service from the Downtown Santa Rosa Transit Mall to the Sonoma County Fairgrounds and back for people with lived experience of homelessness. Space on the bus is limited and the bus passes are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please contact me if you know of clients or people with lived experience of homelessness who need assistance with transportation. The details for the bus route are listed below.
* Route 18 departs the Transit Mall in Downtown Santa Rosa at 11:20 a.m. and arrives at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds at approximately 11:31 a.m.
* Return: Departs from Maple Avenue at the Park & Ride at 1:51 p.m. and arrives back at the Transit Mall at approximately 2:01 p.m.
Alternatively, attendees may contact United Way of the Wine Country’s 211 network to request a free or discounted Lyft ride to the job fair by dialing “211” or texting their zip code to 898211 to reach 2-1-1 Sonoma County and request an eligibility assessment. Once approved, a ride or ride credit will be coordinated and dispatched on the attendees behalf through the Lyft platform.
